The Silent Struggle: Managing Cognitive Burnout in Modern Healthcare

Cognitive burnout in health care is more than just feeling tired or stressed. It’s a state of chronic mental fatigue, characterized by feelings of cynicism, detachment, and a reduced sense of personal accomplishment. The World Health Organization defines burnout as “a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed.” For health care managers, who often juggle multiple responsibilities and are expected to be the pillars of strength for their teams, this condition can be particularly debilitating.

Join NLI's Sr. Director of Research, Emma Sarro, Ph.D. and Global Head of Culture and Leadership, Matt Summers, as we explore the expanding Neuroscience behind managing burnout in health care.

This session will explore the following burnout themes:

  • Understanding the difference between stress and burnout
  • Defining the impact of burnout on organizations and employees
  • Explaining the neurobiology that is affected during burnout and how to fix it
  • Implementing effective brain-based strategies to manage stress and burnout cycles

*This webinar is reserved for healthcare industry employees. All other submissions will be denied. Please check out NLI's event schedule for all upcoming events.
