Idea Exchange: VOICE and the Neuroscience of Speaking Up

Conventional wisdom says that if someone has something to say, they’ll say it. But, speaking up can be difficult, emotional, and threatening. Research is showing that people mostly don’t speak up, even when they should.

During our upcoming Idea Exchange, NLI will present our foundational model of social threat and reward (SCARF), and tie it into how workplace culture can be affected positively when people speak up. VOICE has the power to help others share their ideas and call attention to questionable behaviors and decisions.

Through our solution on the Neuroscience of Speaking Up, we advocate and generate three habits that encourage engagement, inclusion, productivity, and innovation.

Join us on March 18th for this upcoming Idea Exchange hosted by HUB International. The format of this event is a research briefing and facilitated discussion on VOICE and the neuroscience of speaking up. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided.
