This work provides an update on the latest research on the science of a growth mindset, as well as data and outcomes from a range of organizations that have worked to instill a growth mindset. The article begins with a summary of progress in the area of organizational growth mindset since our original journal article was released in 2016 (Grant Halvorson et al., 2016). We share the behavioral impact we have measured in organizations that work to build these habits. Next, the latest findings from neuroscience on how embracing a growth mindset impacts the brain are discussed. Finally, the the key habits, and their neural underpinnings, needed to create a culture of growth are elucidated, as well as the importance of establishing coherent priorities, habits, and systems for lasting change.
